Local Fav's in Denver American Museum of Western Art Twenty steps across the street from the front door of the Brown Palace is the finest collection of Western Art in the world. The Anschutz Collection includes pieces by Remington, Georgia O’Keefe, Wyeth, and Russell. It is housed in the Navarre Building which has its own history as it was the brothel to the rich and famous as the underground tunnel between it and the Brown Palace will attest. The American Museum of Western Art is the private collection of Phil Anschutz----entrepreneur extraordinaire, industrialist, and game-changer. Many in the Pac-West Fastener entourage might know him as the creator of what became Qwest Communications; consolidator of the railroad systems in the west; Regal Theaters; AEG Entertainment as well as creator of many other regional, national, and international businesses including Major League Soccer, the London “O”, The Broadmoor and Sea Island resorts. It is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It is only $5. This is a MUST-see as it is literally an astounding visual of our western heritage. - Mark Cordova, Centennial Fasteners Discover immersive psychedelic, mind-bending art, and an underlying rich narrative as you take a journey of discovery into a surreal, science-fictional epic.
