How did you get started in the fastener industry?
I got my start in the industry in 1998. I wasn't happy with the job I had so my wife suggested I apply at Bisco. My initial thought was to give sales a try and stay for a year or two, then move on. I kind of forgot to move on!
What is the best advice you ever got?
“Your success will be determined by the size of your network and your reputation.”
Do you have a personal goal for 2020?
To be a road warrior again!
What inspires you?
I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say money. I also really like working with my friends in this industry.
When you were a child, what did you want to be as a grown-up?
I didn't want to be a salesperson. However, genetics got the best of me.
What do you do when you're not at work?
I like to spend time with my friends and family as often as I can. I also enjoy shooting at the range and building things in my garage or at the house.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii. They are peaceful places where I can disconnect from the rest of the world. I also enjoy Zion National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and Flagstaff, AZ.
What TV show did you binge most recently?
Yellowstone.
Who is your favorite singer or group?
Killing Joke. I have been a fan for 35 years!
