The coating, called “ArmorGalv®”, surpasses 1,000 hours of corrosion protection and unlike other platings or coatings, the vapor process coats all surfaces of the product uniformly – even recessed surfaces! This means that hollow parts receive full coverage within the ID of the part which is a major advantage over other finish options. Furthermore, ArmorGalv will not flake or peel as the coating is diffused into the surface of the part, and there is no risk of hydrogen embrittlement. Three teams from East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina, were crowned the winners of the 2016 Rotor Clip "Ring-A-Majig" contest, which challenged students pursuing technical courses of study to use retaining rings in original product designs. |
